From recruitment to training, our carers are at the heart of everything we do - because the right carer changes everything. Our carers must already live in our area if they want to be selected. They also must do a psychometric test to test their job suitability. They undergo rigorous in-house and in-person training because we do not believe in on-line training. And then only after lots of training visits, when we are satisfied, carers can go out on their own.

We work with you to match you with the right care provider; someone you can build a genuine relationship with. Not everybody gets on with everybody. We are all different. When we do our assessment, we will try and match you with the most suitable carer. we monitor that closely, and if it does not work, we will suggest a new carer.

Hollee visited my mum in hospital to make sure they could meet her needs and patiently answered all our questions. It was very reassuring for my mum to know that only female carers would visit, that they would come on fixed days and times, and that she would always be introduced to any carer in advance. Each weekly rota and invoice arrived as promised, so we always knew what to expect.
My mum has had three carers and they have all been lovely — very willing to help with household tasks and, just as importantly, providing encouragement and support as she regained some independence, including managing the stairs, as well as companionship in the weeks after coming home from hospital.
Visiting Angels made what could have been a very stressful time feel manageable and straightforward, and meant my mum could return home with the care she needed. I would definitely recommend them.
What really stood out was how each member of the team went above and beyond—not just meeting their needs, but treating them with the warmth and dignity they deserve. The carers became more than just help—they were a source of comfort and companionship.
The peace of mind it gave us, knowing that our loved ones were in such capable and caring hands, was priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone looking for trustworthy, professional, and heartfelt care for a loved one.

Driven by social purpose!
Maxine tried out law and the press before she moved into running a social care business. Her conviction is that all sectors she wants to work in, must have a social benefit to them. In Russia where she worked she often found that staff were badly treated. Something that resonated with her when she explored entering the care sector. Visiting Angels stood out with their institutionalised carer-centric approach. In her spare time she sails the seas on her sail boat “Blue Dove”
